In a perfect world this would be wonderful but there are some in the club that
think we should join forces with Hunte to fight against these organizations
since they do support legislation that is restrictive to ALL breeders not just
the puppy mills.
Personally, I'd never breed a dog again before I'd join forces with Hunte and
I've always thought like baseball for example, if you can't police your own,
then the government will do it for you.

a kid. I agree with their stance that we are put on this earth to
relieve suffering. They fight breed-specific legislation and suggest
that if a family doesn't want a pure-bred animal from a reputable
breeder, then to please go to shelters to adopt. They actively fight
pet stores and the puppy mill business. HSUS currently has
$113,000,000 in assets and could easily raise more as animal rights and
animal welfare are highly thought of by many people. Perhaps they
would be interested in helping our club with Mr. Hunte...they aren't
afraid of anybody and they have pots of money. I appreciated when
Roger Carras, the voice of Westminster, was president of HSUS. He was
a great spokesman for both the breeders and the shelters and wrote some
great dog books. I would be happy to contact them about our dilemma if
