Norma...it wasn't selective breeding that changed the colour of the
foxes...they selected only for temperament.
By doing that, they inadvertently selected for a few other things, too.
Sort of reinforced the concept of not being able to change just one part of
an animal....if you change one thing, something else changes, too...that is
something most breeders have figured out long ago...but I don't think too
many people knew that selecting for temperament would change size and colour
of the offspring.
