Ha, Ha --- In reading these notes I especially tuned in to the word
"evolved"!! Ok, my dear wonderful late husband had the best come back
I had ever known for the ---- "evolution" ---- stuff. Ok, IF we evolved
from
apes ---- why do we STILL HAVE THEM?? Same here folks. We DO
still have wolves. I am very much experienced with this in my life.
One
thing that is very very bad in our domestic world is a HYBRID wolf/dog as
a -- so called -- PET. I can actually testify to many horror stories of
such.
However, the pure wold and the pure dog are definitely OK. As you've all
already known being doggy folks etc. --- genetics and environment play a
double duty action in the development of each and every individual. Nuff
said. Unless you folks want to get some really interesting actual
accounts

My PBS stations carried Part I of the latest doggy program last nite...it's
called From Wolves to Dogs...
and it was very interesting. The claim is made therein that we didn't
domesticate wild wolves...not exactly..but that they exposed themselves to
us for our "easy pickin's"...
Anyway, Part II hasn't aired yet...so keep an eye out for Part I, and then
also for Part II. The white markings that showed up in an experimental
breeding (foxes, if memory serves) might interest y'all.

Bas and I tuned in to it also. Said that the dog originated in eastern Asia
near Siberia. And, that the wolf evolved in only one life time (human's
lifetime)...... very quickly. They just simply changed from wolf to dog.
It didn't take thousands of years, but just about 80.
