The state of Colorado BANS breed-specific legislation.
Denver is a Home-Rule city, and as such, the courts have said it is exempt
from the Colorado ban. Why would you penalize the state, which has done the
right thing, because of one city??????????? Denver is hanging on to its
BSL, not because it's the right thing to do, but because it wants to defend
its home-rule status. And the BSL legislation is under attack as we speak.
Putting the board meeting/National in Ft. Collins is a DIRECT slap in the
face to Denver, which has ample facilities to host such activities.
Sounds like a plan to me.
