I just returned home from a business trip to read the news that Ann passed
away. The dog world is just a little less kind, a little less funny and a
lot smaller. She wsa strong and gentle, and a few words from her left anyone
with the feeling they had a friend for life.
One year I mentioned to her that my new pen broke within the hour and she
said they were supposed to -- and sold me one more. I never complained again
and never brought a working pen with me, just so I could buy one more from
the grandest dam at the show.
Heaven just got a little better.
