The goal for many... especially newbies was to "get wood" at the futurities,
sorry to see that go, I think for first place it would have been nice and a
higher goal to get "wood". Sorry to see it go. If we are not getting wood are
we getting money like in the days past? Amateur futurities I agree with the
idea of having a special class not a special futurity would be far more cost
effective. Like everything else times are tough financially for many
businesses, clubs and people. The time right now is to conserve and cut costs.
Maybe in the future the call for "get wood" at futurity will be back.

ust a match, they are about breeding programs and rewarding those who
upport them. To take any more away from them and all the extra it costs to
upport a futurity, I disagree with strongly.
nd I agree with supporting an Amateur class, always have. It is the way
o go. Clubs have enough expenses now doing what they do. We always do a
anction match with our club because we get credit on our compliance with
KC for doing that. There have been regions in the past that have had NO
IDS for a futurity and a club has been contacted to hold one. You further
ut a mandatory AF with that...you are going to get less bids.
