When we were kids the AKC did not need to look for ways to increase income.
Registeration is down, or Hunte would not be the AKC's new best friend, show
entries are down.
This means AKC's income is down too, and so the services we count on from
them are down too. AKC is looking to bolster their income so they can provide
more services to us, the dog owning public.
I would rather see mutts in obedience and rally and agility than see more
like being so damn cozy with the AKC. We stand a better chance of being
respected in the morning with mutts than with Hunte.

If it was just someone wanting to do things with their pound mutt that they
adore thats great. I still liked the fact that the AKC was a higher standard
registry for the betterment of purebred dogs, but now things are really
changing.
