Didn't Paula used to do birthdays?  When did that change?  We get hardly any
email from this list.  My apologies, I thought that was permissible since it
has been done in the past when the list volume was much greater.... and I
haven't posted in MONTHS.

Exactly what the rule is, thank you Tish!

The admin are not deaf, dumb, blind or controlling

And if you send these things privately, the person will receive it

It is possible that people are set to vacation and will not get the post
sent to the list

We certainly want to hear eulogies, announcements etc, but do not need to
hear 35 Our Condolences, happy birthday or congrats that are meaningless to
most people on the list.
