You should not solicit funds from 3000 people to attend a free function that
seats less than 300 of those being solicited. That is just poor form.

Space is the problem. I would suggest that anyone who has not reserved
tickets call immediately and do so. I would imagine there will be some kind
of waiting list set up because there will probably be people who have
reserved tickets who end up for one reason or another not being able to attend.

finance the event then the club members deserve an accounting of the evening

There was a big thing in the Review about it, I don't keep my Reviews so I
would be afraid I'd get the details wrong, but basically, a presentation,
members of the armed forces, dignitaries, (David Frey), most likely some
of
the folks involved w/ the World Trials, the facility holds 300. Tickets
were free.
I didn't pay too much attention because I know I will be running home then
back the next AM, but I would think people staying nearby might be
interested.
You would think donors for the event would get tickets (??????), and in
fact there were tickets to some things included at certain donation
levels,
but like I said...not looking at it. Somebody that keeps a Review handy
can
maybe be more specific.

know what that is about, but there should be no exclusive activities at
