[ScintillaNET] Focus problems

Hey all,
I'm a newb with ScintillaNet and I'm having a problem concerning focus.
I've attached GotFocus and LostFocus event handlers to my scintilla
control, but they never get triggered as I click between scintilla
and other controls on the form with the mouse.
In desperate hopes, I've scanned the mailing list archives and found
a patch (and an update) that's supposed to fix a 'focus problem'.
I've applied the changes to my ScintillNet source and rebuilt it,
but it didn't help.
Should this work, or am I doing something wrong? Is there anything
special I have to do (set properties?) to the scintilla control to
get this to work? BTW, I'm using .NET 2.0 beta with C# 2005 Express
