I'd second Richard's suggestion. These programs are quite inexpensive. 
FWIW MS Money was discontinued last summer, although you can likely find 
it on eBay. I've used Quicken since 1990 and can attest to its ease of 
use and functionality in managing checking accounts.
Quicken Deluxe 2010 is less than $50 at Amazon and would provide all the 
functionality that's needed.
