Jan: I never wrote I'm a "vivid color fan", I wrote that slide colors are more vivid than the colors for negs, it was a general comment only, a new color neg film like the Ektar 100 tries to emulate and to surpass slide film colors vividness, but I'm afraid Ektar colors are vivid too much and can't be projected as transparencies, they are good for a few subjects IMO; I prefer Fuji Provia 100F and preferred Agfachrome RSXII 50/100 neutral colors for slides, it does not mean I dislike Velvia as approach to some subjects, the same way I like Fuji Superia 100 for 120 color negs and Kodak Ultramax 400 for 35mm, it does not mean I dislike the Ektar 100 as approach to some subjects, but I prefer neutral colors in general, beyond that slides colors, even neutral, are represented more vivid than colors from color negs.
