I think this is the last of the PQS barrel/motor combinations.
I don't think we'll ever see any R&D, on the 120 line, from Rollei again. But then again, stranger things have happened, such as the TLR Wide and Tele.

None of the fst lenses are available PQS because the
big shutter has too high a mass to go that fast. Even
to go to 1/1000 on the smaller shutter requires a
substantial increase in current and lightweight
composite shutter blades.

Hi Slobodan,

I shoot handheld too. On the other hand, 15 years
with the Bronica I
never missed having 1/1000 shutter speed, 1/500 was
always enough (when
the sun is that bright - like on a trip to Egypt - I
had a colour temp
filter mounted or an ND). Where I live I'm lucky to
be able to use
1/250 ;-).

Also, I had thought that the 80/2 was available in
PQS shutter. No? I
know the Tele-Xenar 150/4 was, because I had hoped
to find a PQS but
ended up with a PQ. I haven't regretted it.

Cheers, Thor

Since I use my Rollei handheld, the PQS function

their fastest

story.
