The shutter speed is controlled by turning the dial and lining up the arrow.

on what was a standard rim-set Compur. In which case i'd need a specific
scrap shutter.
Maybe something nasty happened to my last 'cord II as it had a shutter from a
III if the position of the cable release socket was anything to go by.
Anyway... By purchasing the injured Rolleicord II I am making amends for a
long period with a Yashica-Mat.
