So, where was thine, in '69?
I was 13 years old and I was at home on school holidays in my hometown of Besançon, France. The official records says that Neil Armstrong made his descent to the Moon's surface at 2:56 UTC, in France this was probably 3:56 (I do not remember if we already had daylaight saving time in France in '69) so I actually watched the 1-st man on the moon on the TV as a recorder broadcast on the next early morning, July 21-st. (My parents had eventually bought a TV set to watch the Grenoble Winter Olympics in Feb. 1968.) All boys of my age knew by heart the list of Apollo Missions and their crew members !
