Yea but I've got the hard bound edition of Isaac Asimov's 'An Easy Introduction to the Slide Rule', Houghton Mifflin Company 1965. So I know how to use it. I replaced the glass covers over the cursor with the plastic upgrades in the 1960's after I bashed a Kennedy supporter (RFK, not JFK) over the head with it at a debate tournament, back in the longago. This was my father's slide rule in college and mine through high school: I avoided taking science classes in high school beyond the requirements, and I satisfied that with Geology 101/102. Neither required slide rules! I also have a King cylindrical slide rule which provides four-digit accuracy, if you have a magnifier available. Someday, I'll sell off all my Leitz/Leica, Rollei, Hasselblad, and Zeiss/Zeiss Ikon holdings so to be able to buy a Curta .... I'll probably have to toss in my '84 Audi 4000S, the most fuel-thrifty vehicle yet produced, as a premium!
