There is no doubt the clip-on twin rigid metal cap with "F&H" and Carl
Zeiss Jena logo was the original lens cap for the pre-war Rolleiflex
Automat models I and II (manufactured from August 1937 to March 1939),
without bayonet for the viewing lens. The Rolleiflex Automat III with
bayonet for the viewing lens (manufactured from March 1939 to September
1949) received the new twin rigid metal lens cap with central latch used
for the Rolleiflex up to October 1949 and for the Rolleicord up to about
March 1957 (Rolleicord V); it was plastic made for the Rolleicord Va and
Vb.

The original _6x6_ Rolleiflex used two different lens caps, one of them
with the Carl Zeiss Jena logo, similar regarding the lens caps for F&H
Stereo cameras; you can see the samples and the comment almost at the end

Hi,
I am new in posting in this list.
You can find the description of all Rolleiflex caps in John Phillips book
(the Classic Rollei).
The one you describe yes it is only for the Rolleiflex Old Standard
(1932-38).
The only other cap that has engraved the Carl Zeiss Jena logo is the one
for the original Rolleiflex 4x4 (1931-1938).
I have both cameras working, but lack both caps!

The knowm Rollei TLR foldable lens cap was made from about 1949 for
Rolleiflex cameras, Rolleicord cameras used a rigid metal lens cap up to
about the Rolleicord Va model, when they received a plastic lens cap. My
Rolleicord IV from 1954 has an original rigid metal lens cap with the word
ROLLEI on the viewing lens and there are no words or logo for the taking
lens, this lens cap model was also used for Rolleiflex cameras from about
1939 to 1949:
