Yes Ferdi, it happened several years ago, those mercury batteries were very
useful and they worked fine. I used them for the Rollei 35 Tessar, the
Rolleiflex SL35M, the Rollei 35S and for a Kalimar Cds 31 light meter; the
batteries worked for a long time. The Rollei 35S was adapted to use regular
Alkaline 1,5v batteries in Germany.and the Kalimar is out of service. I
have three light meters in working order: the selenium Gossen Sixtomat, it
works fine yet, the small Sekonic Twin Mate with a lithium battery and the
monster, the Gossen Luna Pro F, it is bigger than a Rollei 35 camera and
uses a 9v alkaline battery, but it's my beste light meter.
