When I bought my first SL66 from an old architect/artist in my home town, it
came with a Metrastar CDS lightmeter
<https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/metrastar-light-meter.176152/>. I
thought it was a great match for the SL66 with its square 18° viewfinder and
very rugged metal housing. Unfortunately, it also had the discontinued battery
issue.
I now use a Gossen Sixtomat flash, which is slightly larger but very light
weight and it uses one standard AA cell, which you can find anywhere. All my
Italy pictures with the RF 3.5E and the new Ektachrome 100 last fall were
metered with the Sixtomat.
For smaller cameras (Contax II/IIIa, Leica IIIg, but also Rolleiflex 4x4) and
after losing my Sekonix Twinmate in Ravenna a few years ago, I am now looking
at something compact with a flash shoe like this: https://hedeco.de/ ;

Or, perhaps the TTArtisan Two Dials.

Hi Ferdi:
I have the Gossen Lunasix F and I also have the Gossen Luna Pro
F, they are identical light meters except for the central plate, the Lunasix
F has blue, silver and black colors and the Luna Pro F a red color, they are
the same light meter with a sbc cell. I first bought the Lunasix F with the
Variable Angle attachment accessory, it allows to change from a wide angle
light measurement up to a spot measurement, however the Lunasix F no longer
worked suddenly after two months. I liked this light meter very much and I
also had the Variable Angle attachment, I looked for a replacement and I
found the Luna Pro F two years later, it is (like) new and it works
perfectly. I don't use light meters for natural light outdoors, however I use
them indoors and for available artificial light, I used the Luna Pro F to
measure the artificial light for the portrait I posted yesterday to Flickr..
It is a large lightmeter BTW and I prefer the Sekonic twinmate or the Gossen
Sixtomat sometimes.
