[rollei_list] First Post: Film advance in Rolleiflex 3.5

Hi all,
Just joined the list and hope to learn more from you all. Got my Rolleiflex
3.5 today and very excited. My first TLR. =)
I put an exposed roll of film to the camera to 'test' it and to make sure I
know how to use it before I put a real roll of film.
Rookie needs to practice, I guess.
I did the shutter testing without loading film and the shutter speed seem
pretty accurate. So I load an exposed film according to the manual.
I was able to advance the film, release the shutter, and repeat the process
until suddenly I can't advance it anymore. It some time stop at 2nd frame,
1 frame,
and the most I am able to advance is till 8 frame. I can't turn the handle
both ways. I had to remove the film, then the shutter count jump back to 0
and
everything works fine.
My question is, is there a problem with my film advancing mechanism? Or is
the film that is causing the problem? Thanks for your help in advance.
How do I identify where it went wrong?
