The first boxes were blue and grey - see

Then they became silver.
Special editions had more 'expensive' packaging.
The blue boxes seem to have been introduced when F&H started products other
than TLRs. The silver ones when they became Rollei Werke.
I do not think the ornate gold boxes were ever changed for the TLRs. The
instructions did change to blue and then silver.
My Rollei 16 and accessories have a blue box and my SL66 had a blue instruction
manual although a silver box. My SL66SE has a silver box and instructions.
I may not be totally correct with timeline but from my camera collection, I'm
certain the sequence is correct.

Subject: [rollei_list] Re: Anyone have Rollei 35 Original Box (German)
Ok, this site shows some of the firsts Rollei 35 German boxes and Honeywell
boxes. Anyway, the difference for the Rollei 35 standard boxes have to do with
the time they were manufactured , Germany and Singapore had the same boxes at
the same time. and the main importers also had their own boxes as you can see
in the site. First Rollei 35 cameras made in Germany had a serious problem with
the Tessar lens for colour photography, they needed an UV filter all the time.
Zeiss and Rollei solved this problem from September 1968 using a cement that
filtered the UV rays for th Tessar lens. The machines and main technicians were
trnasferred from Germany to Singopore to manufacture the Rollei 35 there.

Carlos,
Yes, I have looked at the 'auction sites'. I am not looking for the singapore
camera boxes. I am looking for the original German-Made 35 box. Not a T, Not a
S. Just the original German 35.

I have a Rolleiflash but don't remember where I put it. I think it fits the
3.5 bayonet. Curiously I have a large number of flashbulbs. Bought them at
cameras shows over the years at give-away prices. I don't think I have used a
flashbulb since I was in highschool. BTW, its possible to test and adjust flash
synchronizers with an oscilloscope without ever firing a bulb.
Which reminds me that I have a rather good Tektronix scope that's been on
the back burner for a long time awaiting repair. I need to get to it.

Yes Richard, those post-war boxes from the F&H era were made from heavy
cardboard and art-decò motifs.
