Ed,

Yes, you are right, the stops will attempt to return to where they were. 
This is exactly why we decided to stop it immediately and not attempt to 
try it again until we got some advice from the group. I believe that this 
may have happened in the past with the PR-300S also, probably because the 
"soft thru" on the PR-300S was set to ON as you mention. Although in our 
very brief test with Cakewalk the console did not actually lock up, it did 
become very "sluggish." I will do as you specify and turn echo, which was 
on "auto," to off. We may not try this again until after the holidays 
anyway. Your explanation will cause us to be very cautious to be sure that 
the PR-300S is properly set up in the future too! Thanks very much.
