Actually Noel, you can. Since I only have the 577 manual handy, I will use
the Pedal Posaune 16' with the Bassoon 16' voice palette as an example.
Starting with all stops off, if I send a SYSEX command turning Byte 24, Bit 1
on, the Posaune will be selected. If I then send a SYSEX command turning on
Byte 24 Bit 2 on the Bassoon will be selected.
