ATTN Clay and others...I must reiterate my previous comments, i.e., this whole business apparently depends on the particular model and/or serial number of the organ. On my 835B, pushing Set and Cancel or Cancel and Set does nothing. IF I have dialed up an audio setting or a MIDI setting on the console display, made changes to those settings and want to save them as new defaults (so they won't be lost when I shut off the organ), then I must hold Set AND hold Cancel for a few seconds while in an audio or MIDI menu...then I'll get a display that reads "Audio Control Settings Saved" or "All MIDI Settings Saved." None of this has to do with Voice Palette. If your instrument has Voice Palette, it has it whether or not you're also hooked up to a PR300/PR300S or any other sound module. Voice Palette sounds do not come from the module, they are internal to the organ. They are not MIDI sounds nor MIDI-related. You do not need any MIDI device to generate Voice Palette stops or change them or put them on pistons. They have nothing to do with MIDI A or MIDI B couplers/buttons. Resetting MIDI changes or module changes does not cause the Voice Palette stops to reset to "as labeled." Popping a disk into the module doesn't reset anything, except maybe the module. Try disconnecting your module...you'll still have Voice Palette stops...and they must still be reset by some method short of turning the organ off and rebooting. Maybe on some models the Set/Cancel or Cancel/Set method works, whether or not you have a module connected...I suspect this applies to Trillium series organs only. Maybe one of our Rodgers' staff "lurkers" can enlighten us...please? Thanks!
