Ours is a Presbyterian church where the pipes used to be beautifully exposed.
A few years later, a minister was called, and he decided that he didn't want
"people worshipping the pipes," so he had them enclosed. Then he decided the
sanctuary's floors, covered with beautiful Italian marble tiles, needed
carpet. Our seminaries need to provide courses on taste.
