The camera is a Mobius HD (1080p, 30fps) with an lens extension cable. The
lens is mounted in a G10 strip that is taped to the inside of the AV bay to
get a side view through a hole in the vent band. The lens is recessed
slightly to avoid scratches. It's a good camera for money (~$70); compact
and light. To start the camera, I set it up to run when external power is
applied. Then I can temporarily connect a USB battery to a cable through a
vent hole and pull the cable so the camera continues running on it's
internal battery.
Like playing black in roulette it's 50:50 on the landing view, so I guess
this one came up a winner. I do regret not launching from the other side of
the rack to get a better shot of the other rockets. All you can see at
lift-off is Richard and I... good looking guys to be sure, but not as
handsome as all those Punishers.
