My work just provided me a new computer with VISTA and Office 2007. I am
having some challenges with the new system.
One of the problems I have not been able to rectify is that when I am
working in Word at this point when I try to have JAWS read word by word
or letter by letter it will not do anything. The curser is moving but no
speech is coming from JAWS. It will read line by line OK.
However, when I am in Outlook it does read letter by letter and word by
word. There is probably a simple solution to this that I am not
identifying, can anyone help.
A second thing that I am wondering about is that JAWS keeps reading
that it is in "compatibility mode" when reading a document. Does anyone
know what this is referencing?
