I could not even get to the edit field.
Others on Blind-L had this problem too, a couple of weeks ago, and someone 
from that list recommended the link I just passed along.

When I bring up the page mentioned, there are no options for setting the 
number of search results displayed per page, or turning on safe search.

I don't know what is wrong with google? I've been using
https://encrypted.google.com/ for a long time with zero problem.  The
results are 100% accessible. Am I totally missing something?  Just curious.
