Hi
I go= t bullseye going with orca without pluging it into a monitor.
I wrote the image with raspberry i= mager and included my wi-fi details when
downloading and writing the image = 64bit.
I then = inserted the sd card into my pi and started it up.=C2=A0 After a
while I co= uld detect it with my laptop that it is on the network.=C2=A0 By
the way wh= en I wrote the image I also activated ssh.=C2=A0 Then I pressed
the shortcu= t key for orca think it was alt space or something like
that.=C2=A0 Left it= for about 5 =E2=80=93 10 minutes, all the time having
myearphone plugged = in.=C2=A0 Then I turned it off and restarted the
pi.=C2=A0 Then it came up = talking after a few minutes and I could enter
allmy details for country an= d so on.
=
That was my = personal experience.

I am looking for an HDMI dum= my that has an audio port, none of the HDMI
dummy = units I have looked on-line have an audio port, or I can't tell from
enquiry.
So my solution is to us= e an HDMI to VGA adapter and this gives you an
audio
port.
It's about 6 inches long and I keep it fol= ded over.
I use one on my Roku, it could be used on= a FireStick as well, so you can
have a miniature = TV, without having to use a real TV.

Considering that "requiring a connected HDMI monitor and f= orcing audio
through the monitor's speakers&qu= ot; sounds like the kind of bug theRasPi
Foun= dation would insist is a feature if anyone on this list bothered
to report it, I have to ask:
Do their exist HDMI dongles= that will trick the Pi into thinking an
HDMI = monitor is connected while forwarding the HDMI audio to a 3.5mm
audio jack? I'm also thinking it might be a decent workar= ound to the
Pi 400's lack of a 3.5mm jack with= out having to sacrifice a USB port
or deal wit= h the headaches of bluetooth.

Admittedly, once I can get my hands on a Pi 4= , I'll probably
ultimately opt for using a ras= pbian lite image and building up to a
usable d= esktop, but it would be nice to at least try using the stock
desktop without needing to invest in a piece of hardware I h= ave no use
for and which probably costs more t= han the Pi and everything I need
for it but do= n't already have put together.
