That's what's odd is the developer was one shot and it's a new bottle and a fresh mix of fixer w/hardner. I've run a couple rolls though that batch of fix and no problems. I have run some pyrocat through there recently but no PMK. I did a finger wipe test (very scientific) of the drum and picked up nothing. After the final wash, I pop open the drum and fill the cylinders w/water for a bit to give a last rinse and to make it easy to remove the film. I do believe it is that fog as I can see finger prints in it. It's seems odd to me that the coloration is uneven. I always use more chemistry than Jobo tech sheets state for any given drum as I figure there'll be less exhaustion/strain on a small amount of chemistry and also because I use a slower rotation. Should I try the citric acid added to say 300 mls of fixer, which already has hardener in it? This client had me run this one frakkin sheet to test at this EI (which turns out to be a good thing) so I have 3 more sheets to run. I have other options for development if anyone has any suggestions. No PMK recently? Water stop or indicator stop? I would second Richard suggestion of new fresh fixer, and run it with a double fix, at 1/2 time each. The stain does have oxidation type look to me in that the center is somewhat normal looking and the edges have the "fog/stain" in the pattern that says, "less contact in middle of film to air/moisture, heat, etc". I use Ilfotec on my Delta frames. was only HC but have recently tried the DDX. Tmax RS is supposed to prevent that chromatic whatchamacallit but there were no times for RS in the Ilford literature and I was already having to give my best guess as to the time. > >thanks > >Eric > I would sure recommend re-fixing in fresh fixer. The stains look like residual emulsion. Delta does have a tendency to have a bluish residual color but it is uniform like the pink (fushia) on T-Max. Re-fix and treat in Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent if there is still some residueal stain. -- Richard Knoppow dickburk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Los Angeles, CA, USA ============================================================================ ================================= To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there. ============================================================================================================= To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there.
