Walter Thanks for the reply. The former makes a lot of sense, but the latter is unlikely, since the after-toning occurs while the print is in the water. I can't see how, even large amounts of, hydrogen sulfide in the air could have an influence. But trapped toner in the paper is very likely. Regards Ralph W.
