My have always felt that the 8x10 was a near ideal print size. It is the
perfect size for viewing at or near arms length, it is large enough to see lots
of fine detail, and it's form factor readily lends itself to placement in
normal sized portfolios or albums... In the darkroom I always felt that if it
was worth printing it was worth an 8x10 at least. I would only make smaller
prints on request. Alas, my darkroom was consumed by fire about 4 years ago so
I have been unable to print anything since then... One day...

I'd prefer larger prints, because i've always thought that anything smaller
than 11 X 14 just isn't worth the trouble of going into the darkroom. What do
others think?
