In the Stearman trays you can process 4 sheets of 4x5 film horizontally.  The 
tray has the advantage of being covered so that you can work in the light.

Not that long ago there were grids for trays which did exactly
that, but they are easyly faked gluing a few post to a
conveniently sized tray. I declined some offers when people moved
away from film.

Paterson used to sell the orbital developer, which was a
sofisticated version of daylight tray processing, or this, which
is another version of what I said before:
