Actually, I can cock the shutter, but it won't fire when I push the shutter 
button. It's as though the shutter mechanism came unattached from the shutter 
button link ( I am not a repairman, so I am guessing).

    What do you mean by locked? Is the shutter jammed?
    The 80mm is similar in design to the Schneider Xenotar.
