Through the years I've tried about every system except the yankee tanks.
I get by far the best results with the Jobo 3000 system and I've three
of them now. It develops 10 sheets at a time with amazingly little
developer. Perfectly even development. I use a rolling machine (not from
Jobo). But rolling the tanks in a big tray by hand works perfectly fine
too.

I use a Jobo CPE-2 machine with two different Jobo tanks. One takes one
reel and the other takes two. Each reel takes up to six sheets of 4x5
sheet film. It is important to use the "new" reels as the old ones were
streaky, even if you put in only four sheets as was sometimes recommended.
The one-reel tank is #2521 and the two-reel tank is #2551. They are
magnet drive which is what the CPE-2 has.
The reels are called 2509N, and the older reels (with aAt one point, I had to replace the motor in my CPE-2. It did not stop,
different number) do not work well.

Can you really still get this stuff new?
