Frank,

I'm not sure of the details but I think that there may be some limit on the
size of an individual file - not quite sure why but the figure of 2 GB comes
to mind as a limit within the FAT32 system.

Maybe someone out there can confirm this or otherwise.

Cheers,

Jamie

For my last 16Gb card I wanted to continue to add to the material that I
had been recording on a 4 Gb card in my P"TR1. So I copied the entire
content of the 4 GB chip onto my hard drive and then back on to the new
16Gb card. It works great in my ptr1,, as does the other 16 Gb
card that I am using. And it sure was great to hear the plextalk tell
me that I now had 800 hours of unused recording time.

By the way this ptr 1 has never been upgraded . It still has the
original version of the firmware init.

I expect that there is some maximum storage limit that can be utilized
by the ptr 1 but its not 16 Gb. If someone knows what the limit is I
hope they respond to the list. I would like to know before I find out
the hard way.

Frank

Check the manual, but I think it's 4 gig. If you want to be safe, stay
with
several 2 gig cards because I know they work.

Hi,

I also have a PTR1. What's the highest capacity CF card that the unit
will take? I just want to be sure. Thanks.
