John and Steve, Thank you both very much for answering my Heading problem!  It 
worked.  I've been able to do recording, just the way I want it.  Now, I'm able 
to record Christmas music and take it with me, while I'm on vacation.

  Follow these steps:

  Menu

  Select Recording Settings

  Input device select anything 

  Custom Setting accept

  Choose a sample rate and accept 

  Start of recording - choose a time

  Choose increment setting THIS IS THE IMPORTANT ONE  select 'no setting'

  Split phrase select 0.2 seconds

  Input Level of Sound select normal

  Time to stop recording - choose one
