Ah well in any case i did assign keys to it but all i get is jaws saying louder or softer with no actual change in Eloquence's volume from what I could hear. It does however bring the volume of SAPI 5 voices up and down so that is a good start.

JohnPG search for all of your Jaws scripts at http://www.blindcrawler.com/

According to FSDn, they have existed since 4.51.

hmmm there is a bit of a problem there. I just looked through the default
script and that script did not exist in Jaws 8. It then asked me if I
wanted to remove it from the jsd file thus leading me to assume it was a
leftover from the beta programming phase.

There are two scripts in the default.jss file:
Increasevoicevolume and decreasevoicevolume

You could attach a keystroke to them to adjust your volume.

Hi all,

Sorry for the double posting, but I am going nuts with the jaws volume.
I'm
wondering if there is a way of somehow being able to turn down the
jaws voice without turning down the Windows system volume? That is,
when listening to any kind of audio, when one wants to raise the audio
as in music or a DVD, one must also deal with the jaws volume
shredding one's eardrums because the eloquence voice is so damn loud!
Is there a programming fix or possibly even a scripting fix?

Matthew
