I haven't loaded the source out to the project as yet. I am still finishing up some of the other setup. Yes, the existing WE4Java is Window-Eyes specific but it does not use the java access bridge. The new open source project will focus on supporting multiple screen readers and platforms. Again the open source project will not use the java access bridge technology. We are using an alternative approach which will hopefully be more stable than the jab.

I did a search on sourceforge for the Java Accessibility client, but
didn't see any source code listed. What's your approach for making the
applications accessible? I took a quick gander as WE4Java and it seems
to be windows eyes specific using the access bridge. Are you planning
on expanding the project to be cross platform and screen reader
neutral?

And since the project is being ported to sourceforge, I assume the
project is ultimately going to be open source?

Just curious,

Stefik

All,

I have created a SourceForge project named Java Accessibility Client (JAC). I am still completing the setup but will post the source code and the link
to the project soon.

NOTE: The name was changed from WE4Java to Java Accessibility Client to
denote a more generalized platform for the software. Besides, now if someone says they can't access a java application, we can tell them they don't know
JAC. :)
More later.
