In Internet Explorer 8, you can press F12 or go to Tools, Developer Tools, and examine or edit the current HTML, CSS, JScript, DOM and many other things in excruciating detail. Much of the information seems to be accessible to Window-Eyes, and it looks like it could be a good environment to help people develop web pages, without installing VWD, DreamWeaver, etc. I googled and found some MSDN articles about it which would also be very helpful, because the IE help barely mentions this feature. I think it comes standard with all copies of IE 8. If anyone looks further into this, please report back on your results. Jim, Have you tried using Firebug to identify the style / classes applied to the element when it is not performing as you would like? Firebug is a bit of a pain to get your head around, but it is a very powerful DOM inspection tool. Hey, JAWS 11 will honour both display: none and visibility: hidden. Because screen-readers do honour these CSS properties it then actually becomes tricky to find a way to design a CSS class that will hide information visually but keep it available for screen-readers. Hi, This question involves JAWS 11. It seems like JAWS is not honoring display:none in a style sheet on the web. My question is: how does it treat display:none and how does it treat display:hidden? It seems like it's allowing things to display even though the CSS has display:none. Thanks.
