download it immediately.
Also, thanks a lot for the book, I'll check it out for sure, I guess
that I'll find something interesting there. Python seems very easy
after java, I covered lots of things and stopped for a bit because
won't to practice it a bit. Of course, won't give up java which is
good for data science too, I'll rather use them both.

hello Civic: I think we are in a similar position: I used to work in java
but now I am into python.
If you really like the Eclipse way of doing things, you can install the
pydev plugin as somebody already told you. But you can also install
liclipse, which is an Eclipse IDE already preconfigured to work with
python. it is located at https://www.liclipse.com
About anaconda.... I do not use it and I don't think I will use it in the
future, and I'm also interested in data science. I understand anaconda is
like a collection of tools and offers some very interesting things
pre-configured, but, I don't think it is mandatory for doing data science.
I could be wrong but that is my understanding so far.
There is a book called "python for java developers", I recommend you try to
get it, it helped me since I have a java background. I think I may still
have it somewhere.....yes, found it... I am sending it to your email....

You can use regular Eclipse distribution, just add the pydev plugin
