Do you have java access bridge enabled?

Hi all
I've tried Eclipse for test writing code with python afew month ago , follow this direction: https://www.rose-hulman.edu/class/csse/resources/Eclipse/eclipse-python-configuration.htm
After that, I try writing afew line such as print ("Hello world"), and navigate them, but I see that Jaws sound not accessible with the program. Anybody have experience on how to use this with Jaws or NVDA? Are there any stuff I must configure for screen reader user?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey Florian and dzhovani

Thank you guys for response.
Yes florian, I'm gonna learn python 3 so I'll download latest version then.
Since I'm already eclipse user I'll then choose eclipse and plug-in
that Dzhovani recommended.
Also, thank you Florian for tip about indentation, I'll pay attention to it.

Anyway gonna jump into python.

Best regards

You can use regular Eclipse distribution, just add the pydev plugin to it.

Hi,

Yes, you can probably grab the latest version. Especially when just
getting started, you should be fine as long as the learning materials
you use are also based on Python 3.
Eclipse can be used for Python, I think you can use a specified
Eclipse distribution for it. Myself, I prefer either Visual Studio
Code or Visual Studio 2017.
The one tip I will give you for your third question is that
indentation is very important in Python, so make sure your screen
reader alerts you about indentation changes when working with Python.

Florian

    Hello folks

I want to start with learning python so I'd like to ask some
    questions here.

    1. Can I download latest python without vorries or I have to pay
    attention to particular version?
    2. What IDE is best for python?
Note: I'm usually java programmer and use eclipse. Well, I heard that
we can use eclipse for python as well. So is this true and if yes, is
there something I have to know, in order to use python with eclipse?
    3. Anything else that you experts consider worth of mentioning to
    python complete beginner like myself.

    Thanks a lot in advance
