Go to your OE's Tools > Accounts, then chose the email address and check the SMTP settings under the "Server" tab. See if they're what they were before. SMTP is what controls the outgoing email. Might also should check the other tabs because they are other things in there that control outgoing mail. These types of "cleaners" always manage to mess something up. -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://www.OrpheusComputing.com http://www.ComputersCustomBuilt.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Harold B." Hello again, In my usual effort to clean house, I installed what looks like a full program (like it does it all) for cleaning system files and the registry. I know there are other programs which I'm probably also using. This one is also a freebie and it can be downloaded from ... http://www.nkprods.com/ncleaner/ All right, now I am also using Outlook Express for my email and after using this nCleaner, I find I can still receive email but sending sends email, even email sent to myself, into my "Outbox" where it remains, never reaching the intended recipient. I easily can fix that by using "System Restore" to restore the system to the moment before using nCleaner. Question: Is there a way to determine exactly what file(s) was/were effected and/or what configuration was changed so that I can continue using nCleaner and continue sending email, meaning it sends rather than sits in the Outbox? --- Harold ========================= The list's FAQ's can be seen by sending an email to PCWorks-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with FAQ in the subject line.
