I having the same trouble with the new version of Ad-aware plus it takes
forever to scan. It also gets to a point during the scan and the bar
just stops and sits there, then finally moves on. Actually Spy Sweeper
is considerable faster that this new version.
I didn't save the SE version so can't reinstall.
Thanks for the input.

You should be using ALL that you can find. Like AV software,
just one isn't going to find EVERYTHING there is to find. I
just a bunch of different ones and there is always one of them
that will find something all the other will miss, and that
"one" will change every time.

I haven't come across any sites that offer real-time testing, I
guess you could put them all on a PC and then go to all sorts
of bad websites to get infections, run them all and see how
they work. But you'd have to do that dozens of times at dozens
of different bad sites to get all kinds of different malware.

Personally I've never been too high on SpySweeper. Not free,
takes forever to run, and hasn't found anything that SpyBot or
AdAware never found.

I have been using Ad-aware and had an opportunity to try Spy
Sweeper. I
would like your opinion of Spy Sweeper. Also how can one test
these
products?

Thanks
