Thank you, Robert et al. Finally I know a few things about the software on
my computer and now it's time for the hardware. Last time I took the panel
off the side of the case all I saw was cables plugged in here and there , a
few compartments, and the section where the fan was enclosed. Opening up
that fan section in back of the tower looked like a daunting experience; I
didn't know it could be done, and I didn't know there were two fans to be
concerned with. Maybe I'll take your advice someday; others in the group
made similar suggestions. There's so much to learn and know (not just
computer matters). Before we finally know it all, we're watching the grass
grow looking up :-)

Note that from the initial cleaning I did with the dust buster at the back
of the tower (from the outside), all noises and beeping has stopped; I'll
settle for that for the time being. Hearing your suggestions, next time I do
remove that side panel, I'll look for ways (screws or clips etc.) to get to
that rear fan compartment. I can do most home repairs but what's in the
computer tower is new territory for me. And then if I learn too much, I'll
be giving Clint more competition in his computer business (you know what I
mean). --- Harold
