Note sure about #2 but www.xdrive.com I never seen a file deleted from it.
You get 5 gigs free, you can set permissions on folders for others, and you
can get more space for a cost. It even has a app to make it like a network
share and can even backup your files to it... They are now owned by AOL LLC.

Subject: [PCWorks] Free long-term online storage with easy download
facilities

I would like to store several hundred files in a free online file storage
site. Most of the files range between 1-13 megabytes in size.
I want people to be able to download selected files easily (they should not
have to deal with more than "Save File As" from the online file storage
site).
I am not concerned about security. None of the files contain confidential
information.
I checked out a number of free online storage sites. I have two concerns:

1. Many of them are new. How can I tell which sites have backing and are
likely to be around for at least a year or two?
2. Many of them will delete files that have not been downloaded within 3
months. While some files will be downloaded frequently, I cannot make that
commitment with other files. Which of the reliable download sites will store
files for an unlimited amount of time?

Is there any reason why I should not use a website like Googlepages for
long-term storage? I would need several Googlepages websites, because of
their 100 MB limit. I didn't see any warning against this in their TOS, but
they may object because the website was not intended to be used for file
storage.

Do any PCWorkers have experience with these sites?
