I am a sure it would take less time to format..but I don't know how much stuff needs to be copied to floppy FIRST. I don't know what they have on that system. I hate to think of what needs doing.. I always put AV in first after the format then went online and did updates first thing. I have another friend who is willing to do the format..I have done probably 5 on my old computer with 98. Everyone said I was nutz to do it myself but I did. I just put in the cd and followed directions.
