right..... 
My son did secure the network, so now we access it with a password. At this 
point, I'm thinking that if I can't figure out if there are settings in there, 
I'll just disable the firewalls  if I want to print.... which, won't be 
terribly often, I don't think.

Try enabling it and see what happens. You can always change it back. 
Although, by the description you gave, it sounds like it might 
specifically be for internet connection sharing. You're techincally not 
doing ICS. ICS is when you connect two systems together directly with a 
cable. In your case, however, you are using the router.

BUT... again, this is for internet sharing. I think you said you get the 
internet. Its the network that you can't access. Networking is for being 
able to share folders and even the printer.
