You should be able to set restore points that work, but what is wrong I 
do not know.  Windows seems to set points nearly every day, according to 
the calendar thing on my machine.  Also, if you think you have 
insufficient restore points, there is a way of increasing the space set 
aside on your HDD specifically for this. To do this click on 
SystemRestore, choose SystemRestore Settings and do it there.
