    Also ask her about the benefits of running a dedicated power outlet just 
for your computer equipment.  It won't protect you from common house spikes 
caused by fridge compressor activity on a different breaker (a computer 
should NEVER be on the same breaker), but it'll help ensure that you're not 
overtaxing the breaker used by the computer and can help prevent other 
things that can result in file corruption.  To be clear, it's an extreme 
measure that I don't normally suggest to the average person, but if she's in 
the business, ....               :O)
